TYGP Goes Green!

tygp-logo TYG Products, L.P. (TYGP) is pleased to announce it has met NSF International automotive parts certification requirement and additional environmental requirements for using low VOC water borne paint. TYGP is the first automotive parts manufacturer in the world to be authorized to use the NSF International sustainability mark.

To earn the additional sustainability certification, NSF International audited, and will continue to audit, TYGP’s facility to determine compliance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs) that have been linked to cancer and other adverse health effects.

“We are honored to be the first automotive parts manufacturer to use the NSF International sustainability mark”, said Jeff Chen, President of TYGP. “The NSF International mark provides businesses and consumers globally with a hazardous air pollutant free option. It is part of our core values at TYGP to seek manufacturing solutions that provide environmentally safe alternatives for collision repairers and protect our earth from contamination. In addition to the environmental benefits of waterborne primer, it also provides for better adhesion of paint to the bumper cover and this is part of our commitment to continually improve our quality.”

TYGP bumpers meeting the new sustainability standards will start appearing in the market place on December 1, 2016 and can easily be identified by the “Green Leaf” on the TYGP packaging and NSF sticker.

TYGP is an ISO 9001-2015 certified manufacturer, with over 300,000 square feet of highly automated manufacturing and warehouse space producing over 750,000 bumper covers annually and committed to providing the best quality of automotive plastic bumpers to our customers.
