CollisionWeek: General Motors Working to Alleviate Strike Impact on Collision Repair Parts Supply

General Motors, whose workers represented by the United Auto Workers union that initiated a strike on September 16, is working to alleviate parts supply concerns impacting the the auto service and collision repair industry.

In response to our questions about the impact of the strike on collision repair parts supplies, a GM spokesperson explained that while the strike was impacting parts shipments, the vehicle manufacturer was working with wholesale dealers, ACDelco distributors and parts manufacturers to minimize the impact for the repair industry and its customers.
