ABPA Webinar Series – PPP Round 2 Funding and Changes to the Employee Retention Credit

The ABPA is proud to have both Gene Barinholtz, CPA and Paul Wilkins, CPA of KRD back to assist ABPA members in learning more about PPP Round 2 as well as address members’ questions regarding the SBA program.

The second round of Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) funds are now available for small businesses. If you have questions about PPP loans, how you can obtain these funds, and apply for loan forgiveness, this webinar is for you. We will also discuss sweeping changes to the Employee Retention Credit, which is now easier to qualify for and much more valuable to claim. A Q&A session will be held at the end of the webinar.

Gene Barinholtz, CPA, Partner & Shareholder

Gene manages KRD’s Client Accounting & Advisory Services group. His substantial knowledge of accounting and business enables him to advise clients on a wide array of financial concerns, including tax strategies, tax incentives and entitlements, business consulting and litigation support. He began his career in corporate accounting, moved to a small CPA firm and started his own firm in 1987. Gene graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA and Illinois CPA Society.

Paul Wilkin, CPA, Tax Manager

Paul has over 30 years in public accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Illinois. Paul has extensive experience working with small to medium-sized businesses and their owners. He attended the University of Illinois, where he earned his bachelor of science in accountancy. He then went on to earn a master’s degree in taxation from DePaul University
