President, North America for LKQ Corporation Justin Jude released the following statement on the upcoming retirement of Vice President of Sales and Marketing Terry Fortner.

To our industry colleagues and partners:

As many of you may have heard, it is with mixed feelings that we announced on Jan. 4 the retirement of our Vice President of Sales and Marketing Terry Fortner, which will be effective at the end of July.

It is difficult to sum up Terry’s achievements and contributions to LKQ for more than 12 years. Terry started his parts career after a 32-year career at Nationwide Insurance. He was asked to come on board to build relationships with LKQ’s corporate insurance and larger repair shops. Throughout his career, he has led the sales and marketing teams, taken on new challenges and succeeded in every endeavor.

Terry is happily married to his wife Vikki. They have traveled together and enjoy giving back to the community where they live, in Georgia. Terry and Vikki plan to spend a whole lot of time on the golf course while also continuing to explore the world.

When asked about his career at LKQ, Terry said, “What a tremendous journey this has been. The most enjoyable aspect of all has been the relationships and great people that I have had the pleasure to serve, work for and with.”

We all recognize Terry’s unconditional dedication, hard work and overall optimism on life. I have enjoyed working with him for the past 12 years and am proud to call him a friend.

Terry will be greatly missed, and his accomplishments will always be there to remind us of how important he was to LKQ’s success. Please join us in congratulating Terry on his retirement.
