ABPA Member Visit: National Autobody Parts Warehouse

While in Dallas last week for the 2025 Taiwan Expo USA, I took the opportunity to visit with ABPA Chair Mike Dolabi at National Autobody Parts Warehouse, powered by Parts Authority. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to see firsthand how one of our key member companies has grown and continues to play an important role in the aftermarket collision parts industry.

A History of Growth and Service

Founded in the mid-1990s, National Autobody Parts Warehouse has developed from a small regional distributor into one of the largest aftermarket autobody parts suppliers in Texas. What started as a family-run business has expanded its reach to serve customers throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

The company’s headquarters in Grand Prairie features a 200,000 sq ft distribution center, supported by a 50,000 sq ft facility in Pflugerville. Together, these warehouses stock over 80,000 part numbers covering a wide range of product categories including hoods, bumpers, fenders, lighting, radiators, tailgates, and glass. National Autobody has also placed a consistent emphasis on quality, carrying CAPA certified aftermarket parts along with other OEM-alternative options.

Joining the Parts Authority Network

In 2022, National Autobody became part of Parts Authority, one of the largest automotive parts distributors in the United States. This step brought the company into a broader nationwide network while maintaining its strong local roots. The integration has expanded product availability, improved logistical efficiencies, and strengthened service capabilities for its customers across the region.

Takeaways from the Visit

My time in Grand Prairie reinforced the value that ABPA members like National Autobody bring to the aftermarket industry. The company’s steady growth, commitment to quality, and integration into a larger distribution network all highlight the importance of aftermarket suppliers in keeping repair options competitive and affordable for consumers. It was a productive and enjoyable visit with Mike and his team, and I look forward to continuing our collaboration as he serves in his leadership role with the ABPA.
