Last week, I attended Taiwan Expo USA 2025 in Dallas, Texas, joined by ABPA Board members Mike Dolabi (National Autobody Parts Warehouse) and Joseph Tsai (New World). The Expo featured more than 150 Taiwanese companies and served as a strong reminder of Taiwan’s innovation and its determination to expand trade ties with the U.S.
Opening Ceremony & Leadership Messages
The opening ceremony was well-attended and featured remarks from James C.F. Huang, Chairman of TAITRA, along with representatives from the U.S. Department of Commerce, the American Institute in Taiwan, and Taiwan’s ambassadorial delegation. A consistent theme in their speeches was clear: Taiwan wants to invest in America and be a top trading partner. The unveiling of a new Trade and Investment Service Center in Dallas underscored that commitment and emphasized Taiwan’s interest in building long-term industrial and technological cooperation in the U.S.
Expo Highlights
The displays were a mix of high-tech and cultural showcases. Some highlights included:
- eSports & AI Power – handheld gaming devices, advanced processors, and AI-driven technology.
- Smart Healthcare – portable medical imaging systems, innovative diagnostic tools, and wellness products.
- Smart Living – home automation, clean energy solutions, and next-generation consumer electronics.
- Cultural Exhibits – interactive tea tastings, AI-powered travel experiences, and baseball-themed exhibits blending Taiwan’s innovation with cultural pride.
The Expo also hosted business forums and one-on-one meetings between Taiwanese and American companies, reinforcing Taiwan’s position as a proactive trade partner.
Closing Thoughts
The Taiwan Expo was more than a trade show—it was a statement of intent. Taiwan is ready to invest in the U.S. and strengthen its role as a reliable trading partner. I look forward to seeing how these relationships continue to grow and benefit our industry.
