eBay Joins CAR Coalition

Washington, D.C. – The CAR (Consumer Access to Repair) Coalition, a growing group of independent automotive parts and repair companies, associations and insurers committed to preserving consumer choice and affordable vehicle repair, welcomes eBay as the newest member of the coalition.

“The CAR Coalition is proud to welcome eBay to our expanding effort,” said Justin Rzepka, Executive Director of the CAR Coalition. “eBay’s global marketplace has long empowered consumers and small businesses by increasing transparency, competition, and choice. Their leadership in the automotive parts space strengthens our mission to ensure drivers have access to affordable repair options and a competitive collision parts marketplace.”

eBay’s marketplace connects millions of buyers and sellers, including thousands of small and independent automotive parts businesses across the country. Through innovation, data tools, and broad parts availability, eBay helps drivers compare options and find cost-effective solutions when repairing their vehicles.

“At eBay, we believe consumers deserve access to a transparent and competitive marketplace—especially when it comes to essential purchases like vehicle repair parts,” said Dan Martini, Head of Federal Government Relations at eBay. “Joining the CAR Coalition aligns with our commitment to empowering small businesses and providing drivers with choice, affordability, and confidence when maintaining and repairing their vehicles.”

eBay’s participation reinforces the coalition’s growing momentum in support of policies that preserve competition in the automotive collision parts industry and protect consumers from unnecessary cost increases.
