CBP Tariff Refund Portal Now Live

The process for recovering tariffs imposed under IEEPA has officially begun.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has launched its refund system, allowing importers to begin submitting claims for eligible entries. For ABPA members, this marks a significant step forward, as many have been directly impacted by tariffs on collision repair parts.

What to Know

  • Claims are now being accepted through CBP’s system
  • Initial phase is limited to more recent (unliquidated or recently liquidated) entries
  • Additional phases are expected to address older entries
  • Refunds will be issued electronically after review

What to Do Now

Members should:

  • Review imports subject to IEEPA tariffs
  • Coordinate with customs brokers
  • Ensure readiness to receive electronic refunds
