One of the more valuable parts of what we do at the ABPA is getting out to visit members and see their operations up close. I recently had the chance to spend time at TERREPOWER’s Orlando facility, and it was a great opportunity to better understand their approach and how they’re evolving in the marketplace.
While there, I met with several members of their collision team, including Rusty Kleinhans, Vice President of Customer Experience and Marketing; Carolyne Vasconcellos, Senior Manager of Customer Development; Blair Thomas, Marketing Manager; and Michael Torres, Online Sales Manager. What stood out right away was how aligned the group was—everyone seemed to be working toward the same goal of delivering a consistent experience for their customers.
From a product standpoint, their collision business is fairly focused—lamps, wheels, and mirrors—with lighting clearly being the core of what they do. Their remanufactured lamps are sold under the All Star brand, while their remanufactured wheels are part of the Blackburn brand. A large portion of their lamp inventory is remanufactured, which speaks to both cost considerations and the growing role of sustainability in our industry. They also carry new aftermarket lighting, and I noted that those products are CAPA-certified, reinforcing a focus on quality.

It was also interesting to see how their operations are structured. The Orlando location serves as both a headquarters for the collision unit and a hub for customer service, alongside a separate distribution facility. Combined with their broader network of distribution centers, it’s clear they’ve built their model around being responsive and dependable—something that’s critical for shops relying on timely parts delivery.
A consistent theme throughout the visit was the emphasis on customer experience. Whether it was discussions around call center operations or how different teams work together, there was a clear focus on making things easier and more predictable for their customers. That kind of alignment across departments isn’t always easy to achieve, and it showed here.
Overall, visits like this are a good reminder of the range and capability within the ABPA membership. Every company has a slightly different approach, and it’s always useful to see firsthand how those strategies play out in real operations.
I appreciate the TERREPOWER team taking the time to host me and share their perspective—it’s always valuable to have these kinds of conversations in person.
