The Automotive Body Parts Association (ABPA) has submitted formal comments to the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) regarding proposed amendments to California’s Airbag Safety regulation.
The ABPA’s comments were submitted as part of the state’s public rulemaking process and reflect the Association’s perspective as the representative of manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers of independently produced automotive collision replacement parts.
In its submission, the ABPA encouraged BAR to ensure that the proposed regulation is appropriately defined and does not create unintended consequences for the competitive automotive replacement parts market and collision repair industry.
Participation in regulatory proceedings such as this is an important part of the ABPA’s ongoing efforts to represent the interests of its members and the independent collision parts industry.
The ABPA will continue to monitor the California rulemaking process and keep members informed of significant developments.
