The ABPA convention is a busy time for attendees between the content and the entertainment. With this annual gathering of members, the ABPA holds its annual Board elections, awards presentation and makes the announcement for the next year’s convention.
ABPA Board Elections
This year, many seats were available with five board members up for re-election. Full ABPA members had the opportunity to vote during the Thursday business session with the winners announced on Friday morning. Congratulations to the winners!

ABPA Awards
Fort Lauderdale, FL – The Annual ABPA Awards ceremony was performed during the Fort Lauderdale Convention. Each year, ABPA leadership makes the difficult decisions in choosing the recipients of the awards. A complete listing of the 2019 award winners is below along with the description of their award.

CHAIRMAN’S AWARD: Selected as the Outstanding Individual on or with the ABPA Board of Directors who in the past year, by word and deed, personified the meaning of leadership.
Winner – Joseph Tsai, New World
PRESIDENTIAL AWARD: Selected as the Outstanding Member of the ABPA which in the past year has, by word and action, enriched the industry by contributing to the Cause of the Membership.
Winner – Jeff Chen, TYG
INDUSTRY AWARD: In Recognition of Outstanding Effort and Contribution towards the growth development and/or preservation of the collision parts replacement industry in the past year on behalf of ABPA and its membership.

ABPA 2020 Convention
The ABPA is pleased to announce that it has selected the Hyatt Regency in Newport Beach, CA as the site of the 2020 Annual ABPA Conference! The dates are April 28 – May 1, 2020.
